Fields
Acoustic attributes for frequency-dependent fields
For fields that have frequency in their independent domain such as the Frequency and Frequency, Angle domains among others, you can assign the following acoustic attributes:
Whether the field contains RMS or peak values.
Whether the field represents a signal whose amplitude or energy values are reduced because of anti-leakage windows in the FFT, and the corresponding correction factors.
Whether the field contains values that are filtered by an acoustic weighting.
When you specify the acoustic attributes, Pre/Post does not alter the numerical values in the tabular data of a table field, or the expression of a formula field. It only associates the attributes with the field so that they are available to solvers and displays.
You can assign acoustic attributes to table fields, formula fields, table of fields, linked fields, and reference fields. For table fields that you are creating from a post view, reference fields, and linked fields, you must first create the field, and then assign the acoustic attributes by editing the field.
