Layouts and viewports

Using the layout and viewport options, you can view the preprocessed model, contour and marker plots, post-processing scenarios, animations, and XY graphs simultaneously in the graphics window. You can divide the window into a maximum of nine viewports, each displaying a different view, such as the model view, an animation, animation of specific components, or XY graphing.

You can save the visualization settings and data references of the current viewports into a layout state or import them from an external file.

You can control the arrangement of viewports and which display appears in which viewport. These options are available on the Results tab in the Layout group.

Layout group icons

Icon	Option	Description
	Single View	Creates a single view occupying the graphics window.
	Side by Side	Divides the graphics window into two side-by-side viewports.
	Upper and Lower	Divides the graphics window into upper and lower viewports.
	Three Equal Views	Divides the graphics window into three stacked viewports.
	Three Unequal Views	Divides the graphics window into three viewports arranged one tall and two stacked.
	Four Views	Divides the graphics window into four viewports.
	Six Views	Divides the graphics window into six viewports arranged three across and two tall.
	Six Landscape Views	Divides the graphics window into six viewports arranged two across and three tall.
	Nine Views	Divides the graphics window into nine viewports.
	Lock/Unlock Plane	When locked, disables rotation commands to lock the current plane orientation. When unlocked, enables the rotation commands.
	Layout Settings	Controls which viewport the current post view or graph settings apply to.
	View Synchronize	Synchronizes the orientation and zoom level for selected viewports.
	Resize Viewport	Resize the layout of viewports.
