Element Removal dialog box (Abaqus)
| Destination Folder | |
|---|---|
| Simulation Object Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container. |
| Folder Manager | Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |

| Group Reference | Lets you select a group of objects to remove or reactivate. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the objects that will be removed or reactivated. If you select geometry, the elements related to the geometry are removed or reactivated.ExcludedLets you remove individual entities from the selected objects. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters.For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Stress/Displacement Element Reactivation | |
| Element Reactivation | Specifies the type of reactivation to use for stress/displacement elements.Strain Free reactivation specifies strain-free reactivation and resets the initial configuration.With Strain reactivation specifies that the elements are reactivated with strain and does not reset the initial configuration.These options correspond to the ADD parameter for the *MODEL CHANGE keyword.For more information, see Element and contact pair removal and reactivation in the Abaqus Analysis User’s Guide. |
