Dynamic Simulation solution process node commands

Icon Command name Description
Refresh Refreshes your dynamic simulation when it is marked out-of-date. The dynamic simulation is out-of-date when you delete the parent solution results node, or resolve the parent solution and its normal modes have changed. The icon marks dynamic simulations that are out-of-date.
SolveSolve All Solves all random events that are contained in the dynamic simulation.
SolveWrite All Input Files Generates one XML input file for each random event that is contained in the dynamic simulation. This is the input file for the laminate dynamic solver. The XML files are stored in the working folder.
SolveStop All Available while the software solves the dynamic simulation.Stops all random event solution processes from the active dynamic simulation.
Create Random Event Lets you create a random event. A dynamic simulation can contain multiple random events.

Normal Modes node commands

Icon Command name Description
Activate All Activates all normal modes. All normal modes are marked with in the Laminate Dynamics Details View subpanel. You can activate or deactivate each normal mode separately in the Laminate Dynamics Details View subpanel.
Deactivate All Deactivate all normal modes. All normal modes are marked with in the Laminate Dynamics Details View subpanel. You can activate or deactivate each normal mode separately in the Laminate Dynamics Details View subpanel.
Edit All Damping Factors Lets you edit the value for the viscous damping factor of all normal modes at the same time. You can edit the viscous damping factor for each normal mode separately from the Laminate Dynamics Details View subpanel.

Random event and sine event node commands

Icon Command name Description
SolveSolve Solves the selected base-driven random vibration or sine event.
SolveWrite Input File Generates the XML input file for the selected base-driven random or sine vibration event. The XML file is stored in the working folder.
SolveStop Available while the software solves the dynamic simulation.Stops the random or sine event solution process.
Show Solution Log Opens the Information window that displays the information from the file that contains output messaging from the dynamic simulation solver. Depending on whether you solve for a random event or a sine event, you see the information from one of these files: --_random.log--_sine.log
