Define a convection coupling between duct nodes and solid faces
This example shows how to define a convection coupling between a node on the duct and the solid faces that are in contact with the duct. The model needs to have a 1D duct mesh defined. For more information, see 1D duct flow networks.
Click Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Simulation Object Type list →Thermal Coupling — Convection .
From the type list, select Duct Node Convection Coupling .
In the Name group, type a meaningful name.
In the Convecting Region group, click Select Object .
In the graphics window, select the convective set of solid elements.
In the Fluid Duct Nodes group, click Select Object .
In the Top Border bar, from the Type Filter list, select Node.
In the graphics window, select the node on the fluid duct.
In the Magnitude group, in the Heat Transfer Coefficient box, enter the heat transfer coefficient value.
Click OK.
