Physical Property Table Manager dialog box

Create
Type Specifies the physical property table type. The available types depend on the solver type selected for the FEM or Simulation file.
Name Lists the name of the physical property table.
Label Assigns a label number to the physical property table. You can use labels to organize physical property tables.
Create Opens a dialog box that lets you create the physical property table for the selected physical property table type. In this dialog box, you can enter:The physical property table name. The physical property table label.(Optional) Material. You can also click Choose material to create a material.Beam section for beam elements. You can also click Show section manager to create a new beam cross section. Selecting Inherited from geometry uses the cross section that you associated with the geometry (using the Section dialog box) on which this 1D mesh is defined. For more information, see Create a standard cross section.Physical property values. For lists of supported physical property tables for various solver types, see Supported elements and properties.
Filter
Limits the physical property tables that are displayed in the Selection list. Only the physical property tables that meet the selected criteria are displayed.
Type Lists physical property tables of a specific type.
Name Lists the named physical property table.
Label < Lists physical property tables with a label number less than the number specified.
Label > Lists physical property tables with a label number greater than the number specified.
Physical properties Lists physical property tables that have the specified value for the selected physical property.
Selection
Selection list Lists physical property tables. If you select a physical property table that is used by a mesh collector, the meshes that belong to that mesh collector are highlighted in the Simulation Navigator. Meshes that use the selected physical property table are highlighted in the graphics window. If a physical property table was created when the Simulation file is active, it can be used as an override in the Simulation file, but cannot be modified in the FEM file. When the FEM file is active, the override physical property table is not listed in the Physical Property Tables Manager. When a Simulation file is active, a lock symbol next to a physical property table created in the FEM file indicates that it cannot be modified or deleted in the Simulation file.
The following commands are available on the bottom of the dialog box or when you right-click a physical property table in the Selection list.
Edit Modifies the physical property values for the selected physical property table.
Copy Copies the selected physical property table.
Copy as Shell Laminate Available when you select a 3D solid laminate physical property table.Creates a 2D shell laminate physical property table from the selected 3D solid laminate physical property table. The copied physical property has the same ply layup and stacking recipe as its 3D counterpart. If the selected 3D laminate has multiple ply failure theories defined, the ply theory that is referenced by most 3D plies is assigned to the 2D laminate. This command is supported only in Simcenter Nastran and Abaqus solver environments.
Copy as Solid Laminate Available when you select a 2D shell laminate physical property table.Creates a 3D solid laminate physical property table from the selected 2D shell laminate physical property table. The copied physical property has the same ply layup and stacking recipe as its 2D counterpart. The ply failure theory from the selected 2D laminate is assigned to each ply in the 3D laminate. This command is supported only in Simcenter Nastran and Abaqus solver environments.
Delete Deletes the selected physical property table.
Information Opens a window the lists information about the selected physical property table.
Solver Syntax Preview Available in the Simcenter Nastran and MSC Nastran environments. For a selected physical property table, generates a preview in an Information window of the Nastran syntax that the software will generate when you export or solve your model.
