Spot Weld dialog box
| Select Weld Objects | |
|---|---|
| Select Points/Edges/Curves | Selects points, mesh points, curves, or polygon edges to project. |
| Select Top Face(s) | |
| Select Top Faces | Selects the polygon face or faces for the top face of the spot weld. The selected points, edges, or curves are projected onto this face to determine the top node locations. |
| Select Bottom Face(s) | |
| Select Bottom Faces | Selects the polygon face or faces for the top face of the spot weld. The top node locations are projected onto this face to determine the bottom node locations. |
| Mesh Parameters | |
| Mesh Density Type | When you select curves or polygon edges as the weld object, defines the default element size as either a ratio or an absolute size:Number — lets you specify the total number of nodes per curve or edge to create on the selected geometry. Size — lets you enter the approximate distance between the nodes to create. |
| Mesh Density Value | Specifies the number of nodes or the distance between nodes, depending on the specified mesh density type. |
| Merge Nodes Tolerance | Merges nodes if they are closer than the specified tolerance. |
| Element Properties | |
| Type | Specifies the type of 1D element to create. Available element types depend on the selected solver and solution type. |
| Edit Mesh Associated Data | Appears when you select an element type that requires the definition of additional attributes.Opens the Mesh Associated Data dialog box where you can define attributes for the elements. The software applies these properties uniformly to all the elements in the mesh. |
| Destination Collector | |
| Automatic Creation | When selected, creates a new destination collector for you using default physical and material properties. |
| Mesh Collector | Specifies an existing mesh collector from the Mesh Collector list. New Collector opens the Mesh Collector dialog box, where you create additional mesh collectors. |
