Set up a thermal zone association for mapping temperature results
Note:
A source model refers to a model that contains a solution with Analysis Type set to any thermal type.
A target model refers to a model that contains a solution with Analysis Type set to Mapping.
Create a thermal association zone in the source model
Choose Mapping .
In the Mapping dialog box, from the Type list, select Thermal Association Zone.
In the model, select the region that contains the elements with the temperature results that you want to map.
Click OK.
Create a thermal target zone in the target model
Choose Thermal Target Zone .
In the Thermal Target Zone dialog box, do the following:To map the temperature results to elements, in the Destination Elements group, select the elements.To map the temperature results to nodes, in the Destination Nodes group, select the nodes.
To associate your thermal target zone with the thermal association zone that you created in the source model, do the following:Click Update Zones.From the Thermal Association Zone list, select the zone you created.Note: In the Simcenter 3D Multiphysics solver environment, you select the corresponding Thermal Source Zone modeling object from the Thermal Association Zone list.
Click OK.
