Define a pressure load normal to 2D elements or 3D faces (Simcenter Samcef)

The normal pressure load types let you define pressure normal to element faces.

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Pressure .

  2. In the Pressure dialog box, select Normal Pressure on 2D Elements or 3D Element Faces, or Normal Pressure on 2D Elements from the Type list.

  3. In the Model Objects group, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity to which the pressure will be applied.

  4. In the Magnitude group, define the pressure magnitude in one of these ways:Select Expression to use a constant value or expression to define the magnitude. Select Field to define a pressure magnitude that varies with time.

  5. Click OK.The load is applied to the model.
