Non-Geometric Element dialog box (Thermal/SST/ESC/Multiphysics)
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name for the modeling object. Enter a meaningful name. This name appears on the Non-Geometric Element list in all related dialog boxes with a Non-Geometric Element modeling object option.Example: If you create a non-geometric element modeling object with its temperature fixed at 75 C, you can name the modeling object NGE Temp 75 C. When you see this name in a Non-Geometric Element modeling object list, you can easily identify the modeling object. |
| Label | Sets a unique numeric identifier for the modeling object. |
| Description | Lets you enter a description for the modeling object. |
| Magnitude | |
| Type | Controls whether the temperature or the capacitance of the non-geometric element is fixed.TemperatureSpecifies the temperature of the non-geometric element to the value that you enter in the Temperature box.CapacitanceSpecifies the capacitance of the non-geometric element to the value that you enter in the Capacitance box. |
| Thermal Phase Change | |
| Appears when Type is set to Capacitance. | |
| Activate Phase Change | Activates phase change within the non-geometric element.Latent HeatSets the latent heat.Phase Change TemperatureSets the temperature at which phase change occurs.Capacitance Above Phase ChangeSets the capacitance of the non-geometric element after phase change. |
