Acoustic Monopole dialog box (Acoustics BEM)

Name
Name Sets the name of the acoustic monopole.
Description Sets a description for the acoustic monopole.
Destination Folder
Load Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which to store the acoustic monopole boundary condition. The list includes the root container and folders that you created using the New Folder command in the Load Container.
Folder Manager Displays a hierarchical list of folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Location
Specify Point Specifies the spatial location of the acoustic monopole. If the distance from the monopole to the 2D boundary mesh is less than the closest element size, the software may not accurately compute local acoustic scattering. Therefore, we recommend that you locate the monopole no closer than one element length from the 2D boundary mesh. If you require the monopole to be very close to the mesh, local mesh refinement may be required for an accurate solution of nearby acoustic scattering.Select a node or a point on the mesh in the graphics window, or click Point Dialog to open the Point dialog box where you can define the location of the acoustic monopole in several different ways. For more information, see Point dialog box.
Magnitude
Amplitude
Specifies the complex excitation value with real and imaginary parts, constant complex excitation value with magnitude and phase angle, and the frequency dependent complex field values.
Format Specifies how the excitation is defined.
Real Available when Format is set to Real/ Imaginary.Sets the real component value of the magnitude of the excitation.
Imaginary Available when Format is set to Real/ Imaginary.Sets the imaginary component value of the magnitude of the excitation.
Magnitude Available when Format is set to Magnitude/Phase.Sets the magnitude value of the excitation.
Phase Available when Format is set to Magnitude/Phase.Sets the phase angle value of the excitation.
Specify Field Available when Format is set to Field.Specifies the frequency dependent complex field values.Scale Factor — Sets the scaling of values present in the field.
Power
Power Sets the magnitude of the power. For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
Specify Phase for Equivalent Amplitude Available when Specify Phase for Equivalent Amplitude check box is selected.Sets the constant value of phase angle. For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
