Mesh Control dialog box–Size on Edge density type options
| Selection | |

| Select Targets | Lets you select the edges or curves to which to apply the Size on Edge density. |
| Size on Edge | |
| Location on Edge | Select the specific location on the edge to apply the edge density.Select Overall to apply the density along the entire edge.Select Start to apply the density to the beginning of the edge.Select End to apply the density to the end of the edge.Select Start and End to apply the density at the beginning and end of the edge but not to the middle. |
| Element Size/Start Element Size/End Element Size | Depending upon the Location on Edge option you select, enter the element size to use along the entire edge, or at the start of end of the edge. If you chose the Start and End option, you can enter different element lengths for the start and end of the edge. |
| Auto Size | Click Auto Size to have the software automatically calculate a suggested number of elements to create along the selected edge. |
| Preview | |
| Automatic | Automatically updates the mesh when you specify or change a value. |
| Preview | Previews the distribution of nodes along the edge using the parameters you specify. |
