Orphan nodes after import (Simcenter Samcef)

By default, nodes are imported if they are:

• Connected to elements.

• Used in Simcenter Samcef .SEL groups.

• Supports for loads, constraints or simulation objects.

• Part of Simcenter Samcef .FRAME CSYS.

All other nodes are orphans.

You can use the Remove Orphan Nodes option during the import to remove all orphan nodes from your model.

Where do I find it?

Application	Pre/Post
Prerequisite	Simcenter Samcef as the specified solver
Menu	File→Import→Simulation→ Options page
Location in dialog box	Orphan Nodes group→Remove Orphan Nodes check box
