Supported system model solutions for Simcenter Samcef superelements

The following table summarizes the supported solutions (and their related Simcenter Samcef solvers) when you create, use, or recover Simcenter Samcef superelements in Simcenter 3D.

Creation (Superelement Creation solution) Use Recovery (Superelement Recovery solution)
When you create a Static superelement, the Simcenter Samcef Asef solver is run. You must use a Static superelement in a Linear Static Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Asef solver). You recover the superelement with the Simcenter Samcef Asef solver.
When you create a Dynamic superelement, the Simcenter Samcef Dynam solver is run. You can use a Dynamic superelement in the following solutions:Linear Static Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Asef solver)Modal Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Dynam solver)Nonlinear Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Mecano solver)Linear Transient Response Analysis (Simcenter Samcef Repdyn solver)Linear Harmonic Response Analysis (Simcenter Samcef Repdyn solver) You recover the superelement with the Simcenter Samcef Dynam solver.
When you Convert a Superelement from Other Solver, the Simcenter Samcef BACON pre-processing module is run. You can use a Convert a Superelement form Other Solver superelement in the following solutions:Linear Static Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Asef solver)Modal Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Dynam solverNonlinear Analysis solution (Simcenter Samcef Mecano solver)Linear Transient Response Analysis (Simcenter Samcef Repdyn solver)Linear Harmonic Response Analysis (Simcenter Samcef Repdyn solver) N/A
