Surface-to-Surface Gluing dialog box (Simcenter Samcef thermal analysis)

Type
Type Specifies the face pairing method: Automatic Pairing or Manual.
Name
Name Sets the name of the gluing constraint that appears in the Simulation Navigator under the Simulation Object Container node.
Description Sets the description.
Destination Folder
Simulation Object Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the gluing constraint will be stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command.
Automatic Face Pair Creation
Appears when Type is set to Automatic Pairing.
Face Pairs Lets you select the faces to pair. For more information, see Create Automatic Face Pairs dialog box
Source Region (slave)
Appears when Type is set to Manual.
Source Region Lets you select a source region to be glued. For more details on the Samcef Regions, see Region dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).
Target Region (master)
Appears when Type is set to Manual.
Target Region Lets you select a target region to be glued. For more details on the Samcef Regions, see Region dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).
Swap Regions
Appears when Type is set to Manual.
Swap Regions Lets you swap defined regions.
Gluing Option
Type Specifies the type of gluing:PerfectClassical gluing as in structural analysis (Samcef .STICK command).Interface ConductanceTrue thermal gluing (Samcef .PRITT command). In this gluing, the conservation of the normal heat flux and heat transfer across the contact region is ensured.
Parameters
Appears when the gluing option Type is set to Perfect.
Parameters Specifies the perfect gluing general parameters. For more details, see Gluing parameters (STICK) dialog box (Simcenter Samcef)
Magnitude
Appears when the gluing option Type is set to Interface Conductance.
Type Lets you choose between Total Conductance or Total Resistance.
Conductance Appears when the magnitude Type is set to Total Conductance.Lets you define the interface conductance. For more information, see the COI parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Resistance Appears when the magnitude Type is set to Total Resistance.Lets you define the interface thermal resistance. For more information, see the TRES parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Emissivity Sets the radiation emissivity factor. For more information, see the EMI parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Gray Body View Factor Sets the radiation view factor. For more information, see the FVIE parameter of the Samcef .CLT command.
Advanced Options
Appears when the gluing option Type is set to Interface Conductance.
Normal Distance (REFERENCE) Lets you define the out-of-plane distance between the slave node and the master facet barycenter beyond which the node is not projected on the facet. For more information, see the REFERENCE parameter of the Samcef .PRITT command.
Tangential Distance (CRITERE 1 PRECT) Lets you define the tangential distance between the slave node and the master facet edges beyond which the node is not projected on the facet. For more information, see the CRITERE 1 PRECT parameters of the Samcef .PRITT command.
User Defined Parameters Lets you manually define .STICK/.PRITT parameters.Note: The added text must be compliant with the Samcef Command Language terminology. For more information, see the Samcef documentation.Note: This property may be filled during the import a Samcef bank if some imported parameters are unknown to this simulation object.
Output Requests
Appears when the gluing option Type is set to Interface Conductance.
Gluing Results Specifies specific gluing results. For more information, see the MACRO element in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.
Boundary Condition Generation
Appears when Type is set to Automatic Pairing.
Associate to Automatic Pair Recipe Specifies whether automatically generated pairs are associated with the automatic pair recipe. The automatic pair recipe is the set of parameters in the Create Automatic Face Pairs dialog box that determine how to compute and group face pairs. When you select this check box, the generated contact pairs appear in the Simulation Navigator with the prefix Auto. If you update the master part, the software recalculates the face pairs and updates the boundary condition. When you clear this check box, the generated contact pairs are not associated with the face pair recipe. If the master model changes, the contact pairs are not updated. These pairs behave the same as manually created pairs.
Ancillary Display
For more details, see Ancillary Display dialog box (Simcenter Samcef)
Card Name Displays the name of the solver card this object will write to : .STICK/.PRITT .
