Control the display of meshes in post views
You can show or hide the results in a contour plot for all meshes, as well as set mesh translucency.

Show or hide selected meshes
Choose Results tab→Display group→Show Only or Hide .
From the Type list, select Mesh.
Select the meshes in the graphics window. Use the options in the Pick list to select single or multiple meshes. You can select multiple meshes by dragging a selection box. For a description of each selection method, see the Hide/Show Only dialog box.
(Optional) Use the Boolean options to further refine the selection. The Boolean options affect how your selection is applied. You can also use the Boolean options to remove particular elements from your selection. For a description of each Boolean operation, see the Hide/Show Only dialog box.Tip: Click Clear Highlights to remove identifying labels or IDs in the graphics window without clearing your selection.Click Clear Selection to remove all selected meshes from the list.
Click OK.
Hide meshes by selecting them
Choose Results tab→Display group→Hide Mesh .
In the post view, select the meshes to hide.
Click Cancel to exit the Hide Mesh dialog bar.
Display meshes using the Post Processing Navigator
In the Post Processing Navigator, under the post view node, expand the elements node.
Use the visibility check boxes to turn on the display of meshes. Contour Plots Post view 3D Elements Solid(1) Solid(2) Solid(3) 2D Elements Shell(1) Shell(2)
Set the translucency of selected meshes
Choose Results tab→Display group→Make Mesh Translucent .
In the post view, select the meshes whose translucency you want to set.Tip: To set the mesh display back to opaque, press Alt+Click.
Click Cancel to exit the Make Mesh Translucent dialog bar.
Set the translucency of all meshes
- In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the post view and choose Translucency→All On.
Turn off the translucency of meshes
- In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the post view and choose Translucency→All Off.
