Modify ply properties

You can modify the ply details of an existing ply in a finite element model in the Laminate Modeler dialog box.

  1. In the Ply Layup tab, select one or more plies that you want to modify. Use control-click or shift-click to select multiple plies.The software applies any changes you make to all selected plies.

  2. To modify the properties of the selected plies:Select a material from the Material/Ply Material list or click Select material /Select ply material .Set the thickness and angle of the ply in the Thickness and Angle boxes.Select a ply failure theory and an interlaminar failure theory from the Ply Failure Theory and Interlaminar Failure Theory listsSelect the ply color using the color swatch.
