Response Dynamics
Post processing response results after clearing the obsolete status
If you change the mesh, re-solve the modal solution, and then clear the obsolete status of the Response Dynamics solution process, the response results you generate will be based on the new mesh. Therefore, the results are not consistent with the solution process.
For example, suppose you loaded node 123 in the model, and created an excitation on that node in the solution process. Then, suppose you changed the element size in the mesh and resolved the modal solution. The position of node 123 has now changed. When you display the response results, they will be shown on the new mesh, with the excitation still associated with node 123 in that node’s new position.
If you selected the Save Geometry with Event Results option on your solution process event before you generated the original response results, you can still view the correct results on the original mesh. To view the correct results on the original mesh, follow these steps:
Display the Post Processing Navigator.
Right-click Imported Results and choose Import Results.
Browse to the original RS2 (.rs2) file that contains the original set of response results.
Click OK to import the results.
