| Name | Sets a unique name for the parameter. |
| Label | Sets a unique integer for the parameter.The dialog box automatically displays the next available label number. However, you might want to change this if you use a particular series of numbers to identify certain types of parameters. |
| Description | Sets a description for the parameter.This description appears in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box only if you add the Description column to the list table. To do that, right-click the column heading row and choose Columns→Configure. In the Configure Columns dialog box, select the Description check box and then click OK. |

| Category | Sets the category name for this parameter. |
| Sub-Category | Sets the subcategory name for this parameter.The subcategory appears in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box only if you add the Sub-Category column to the list table. |

| Local Stress State | Specifies the local stress state for a spot weld analysis.Currently, the only option is Analytical. |
| Number of Directions | Sets the number of equally spaced directions to use when calculating radial stresses. |
| Analytical Method | Specifies the method to use to calculate the force-based fatigue of spot welds.RuppCalculates the fatigue of spot welds using the Rupp method.For more information, see Spot weld fatigue life analysis.JSAECalculates the fatigue of spot welds using the Rupp method with the advances of the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE). |
| Calculate Weld Nugget | Appears when Analytical Method is set to Rupp.Calculates the weld nugget.If you clear this check box, no weld nugget is calculated. |
| Nugget Shift | Appears when the Calculate Weld Nugget check box is selected.Sets a shifting factor for the SN-curve used to calculate the weld nugget.Often the SN-curves for the nugget show a lower endurance limit than the SN-curve for the sheet. You can apply a factor lower than 1.0 in these cases. |
| Constraint Diameter | Appears when Analytical Method is set to JSAE.Sets a constraint parameter that reflects the distance from the spot weld to the next constraint (such as the next spot weld, the border, and so on). |
