Exclude thermal data from the mapping process

Note:

A source solution refers to a solution with Analysis Type set to any thermal or flow type.

A target solution refers to a solution with Analysis Type set to Mapping.

To create an Exclude Elements constraint in the source solution:

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Constraint Set and choose Mapping.

  2. In the Mapping dialog box, select Exclude Elements from the Type list.

  3. Select the object that has the thermal results data you want to exclude.

Note:

You cannot exclude flow data from the mapping process.

How do I

Define a Mapping Target Set

Set up a flow zone association for mapping pressure results

Set up a thermal zone association for mapping temperature results

Set up axisymmetry association zones and target zones

Set up rotational periodicity association and target zones

Map transverse temperature gradients to the target solution

Map thermal or flow results to another model

Update mapping constraints in the source model
