Solver Preferences dialog box

These settings override the solver preferences specified in the Customer Defaults dialog box, and they affect all open and future sessions. However, these settings do not control the appearance of the Blank templates for Pre/Post FEM and Simulation files in the New dialog box. Those are controlled by the Show Blank Templates check box in the Customer Defaults dialog box. The Blank template for assembly FEM files always appears.

Preferred Solvers
All	Displays all available templates on the Simulation tab in the New dialog box, as well as all available solvers in the Solver list in the Solution dialog box for Pre/Post.
Select	Displays only options related to the selected items.
Simcenter Nastran	Displays the Simcenter Nastran, Simcenter Nastran Acoustic, Simcenter Nastran Vibro-Acoustic, and NX Design Simulation templates and solvers.
Samcef	Displays the Samcef templates and solver.
Simcenter 3D Thermal/Flow	Displays the Simcenter 3D Thermal/Flow templates and solver.
Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal	Displays the Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal templates and solver.
Simcenter 3D Electronic Systems Cooling	Displays the Simcenter 3D Electronic Systems Cooling templates and solver.
Simcenter 3D Multiphysics	Displays the Simcenter 3D Multiphysics templates and solver.
Simcenter 3D Acoustics BEM	Displays the Simcenter 3D Acoustics BEM templates and solver.
Simcenter 3D Motion	Displays the Simcenter 3D Motion templates, which are also used with NX Motion.The default solver used by the templates is determined by your selection in the Customer Defaults dialog box (Simulation→Motion→Pre Processor→Solver and Environment). You can also select a different solver after you create the simulation.
MSC Nastran	Displays the MSC Nastran templates and solver.
ANSYS	Displays the ANSYS templates and solver.
Abaqus	Displays the Abaqus templates and solver.
LS-DYNA	Displays the LS-DYNA templates and solver.
Miscellaneous	Displays the Ideas Unv, Model Test Data, and SCO3 templates and solvers.
Reset to Defaults	Updates the displayed settings to match the solver preferences in the Customer Defaults dialog box.
