Initial Temperature in a nonlinear and heat transfer solution (Simcenter Samcef)

In a Simcenter Samcef nonlinear analysis or a heat transfer thermal analysis, use the Initial Temperature command to define the magnitude of the initial temperature. The Initial Temperature command computes thermal strains, as detailed in Reference and Initial Temperatures in Samcef (Simcenter Samcef).

You can define the magnitude as a constant value, expression, or spatial field.

You can define the temperature on a curve, mesh point, node, point, polygon edge, polygon face, or polygon body.

If you define the temperature load on geometry, the software maps the temperature to the corresponding nodes.

The corresponding Simcenter Samcef input file entry is CLT TIN NOEUD - V -.
