Select nodes by feature angle
On the scene toolbar, from the Method list, select Feature Angle Nodes. The Type Filter is automatically set to Element Face.
(Optional) Click Smart Selector Options to do any of the following, and then click OK:To set the maximum angle between two adjacent faces below which they are considered part of the same feature, type the value in the Feature Angle Tolerance box.To stop the selection at a non-manifold boundary (such as a single edge shared by two or more faces in a T-type intersection), select the Stop at Non-manifold Junctions check box.If you clear this check box, the selection extends beyond the non-manifold boundary along the most tangent face.To apply the current selection method only to entities displayed in the graphics window, select the Select Only Visible Entities check box.To select internal element faces, from the Free Face Computation list, select Visible Model. Use the visibility controls to display the internal element faces of interest.
Select an element. The software selects all appropriate nodes on tangent element faces, where the feature angle between adjacent element face normal vectors is less than the defined feature angle value.
