Radiation dialog box (Nastran)
| Model Objects | |
|---|---|
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the radiation load to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the geometry or FE entities on which the load will be applied. Use the Excluded options to remove individual entities from your selection. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Control Point | |
| Select Object | Lets you select the control point for the space radiation load. The temperature at the node is used to multiply the radiation terms. This option corresponds to the CNTRLND field on the RADBC in the bulk data entry.. Use the Excluded options to remove individual entities from your selection. |
| Properties | |
| Radiation View Factor | Defines the radiation view factor between the surface and space. This option corresponds to the FAMB field on the RADBC in the bulk data entry.Select Expression to define the value as a constant value or an expression.Select Field to use a field to define a load value that varies, for example, with temperature. Use the Specify Field options to select or create a field. You can also specify an optional Scale Factor to apply to the value in the field. For more information, see Additional magnitude options. |
| ABSORP | Defines the absorptivity of the element surface. For radiation enclosure problems, the value you specify for ABSORP should be equal to the value you specify for EMIS.Select Expression to define the value as a constant value or an expression.Select Field to use a field to define a load value that varies, for example, with temperature. Use the Specify Field options to select or create a field. You can also specify an optional Scale Factor to apply to the value in the field. For more information, see Additional magnitude options. |
| EMIS | Defines the emissivity of the surface of the underlying elementsSelect Expression to define the value as a constant value or an expression.Select Field to use a field to define a load value that varies, for example, with temperature. Use the Specify Field options to select or create a field. You can also specify an optional Scale Factor to apply to the value in the field. For more information, see Additional magnitude options. |
| Temperature | Defines the ambient temperature of space, in the units displayed on the dialog box. Select Expression to define the value as a constant value or an expression.Select Field to use a field to define a load value that varies, for example, with temperature. Use the Specify Field options to select or create a field. You can also specify an optional Scale Factor to apply to the value in the field. For more information, see Additional magnitude options. |
