Result types and results
| Result type | Description | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Nodal | Nodal results have a single value at each node. | Displacement Temperature |
| Element-Nodal | Element-nodal results have multiple values at each node. In general, a different value exists at each node for every element that shares the node. | Stress Heat Flux |
| Elemental | Elemental results have a single value for each element at the centroid of the element. Because some solvers do not output elemental results, post-processing provides you with options to create elemental results from element-nodal results. | Stress Heat Flux |
| Element-Edge | Element-edge results have a value for each edge of an element. | Pressure Acoustics |
| Element-Edge-Node | Element-edge-node results have a value for each node on each edge of an element. | Pressure Acoustics |
| Element-Face | Element-face results have a value for each face of an element. | Pressure Acoustics |
| Element-Face-Node | Element-face-node results have a value for each node on each face of an element. | Pressure Acoustics |
