Durability Strain Gage Rosette Analyzer dialog box — Strain Gages tab
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Gage Source | Specifies the source of the strain gage rosette data. |
| Gage Type | Specifies the type of the strain gage rosette.Rectangular rosettes with leg a along the 0° direction, leg b along the 45° direction, and leg c along the 90° direction****Delta rosettes with leg a along the 0° direction, leg b along the 60° direction, and leg c along the 120° direction |
| Response Dynamics Strain Gages | |
| Appears when Gage Source is set to Response Dynamics Strain Gages. | |
| Selection Method | Specifies the method for selecting the strain gage leg histories from a Response Dynamics solution process.Graphical Selection lets you select strain gages directly from the model using the Select Strain Gage option.List Selection lest you select strain gages from the displayed list. |
| AFU | |
| Appears when Gage Source is set to AFU. | |
| AFU File | Sets the location and name of the AFU file that contains the strain gage data. |
| Leg Search Keyword | Sets a keyword that the software uses to search the AFU file for the strain gage leg histories. |
| Select Gage Evaluation(s) | |
| Lists all strain gage response functions for which all legs strains are evaluated. By default, the software selects all functions as candidates for batch processing. To deselect functions, hold down Ctrl and click the functions that you want to deselect or hold down Shift and click the first and last functions in the range of functions that you want to deselect. | |
| Transverse Correction | |
| Set the values in the Transverse Correction group when you need to include the transverse correction in the calculation of the durability functions. | |
| Gage Construction | Specifies how the gage legs are positioned. When the gage legs are stacked one on top of the other, select Stacked and enter a Transverse Sensitivity K (%) value. When the gage legs are positioned in the same plane, select Planar and enter a Transverse Sensitivity Kac (%) value and a Transverse Sensitivity Kb (%) value. When you want to specify the transverse sensitivity for all three directions, select Specify and enter a Transverse Sensitivity Ka (%) value, a Transverse Sensitivity Kb (%) value, and a Transverse Sensitivity Kc (%) value. You can set the values to zero to ignore transverse effects. |
| Gage Poisson Ratio | Sets the value for the gage Poisson’s ratio that is used in the transverse correction. |
| Target AFU File | |
| Sets the file name for the target AFU file that will be created when you click either OK or Apply. The target AFU file stores the requested durability functions. |
