Select modes to compute for a dynamic superelement (Simcenter Samcef)
When you create a Dynamic superelement:
You can specify the Number Of Eigenvalues, the Lower Frequency, and the Upper Frequency of the frequencies you want to compute.
However, if you select the Known Modes Selection check box, you can fetch from a Simcenter Samcef external results file a list of modes numbers to be calculated during the superelement modal analysis. You can then use the List of Known Modes table to filter the modes to be computed: you can select all the modes or remove unwanted ones. Note: You select the mode numbers, not their frequencies. These numbers will be used to filter the list of computed modes numbers in the superelement modal analysis; the software retains only the modes numbers calculated in the modal analysis that fit the same numbers as those of the List of Known Modes table. For more details, see the .SMO command in the Simcenter Samcef solver documentation.
