Electrical Properties options

The following table provides information about the options you should use to define electromagnetic properties for anisotropic materials supported by the electromagnetic solutions. The Electrical Properties options are available on the Electromagnetic page in the Anisotropic Material dialog box.

For detailed information about defining electromagnetic material properties, see your electromagnetic solver documentation.

Electrical Properties
Specifies conductivity, which is the inverse of resistivity, resistivity, or permittivity.Because you can enter values for conductivity and resistivity, you must ensure their accuracy.
Conductivity
Specifies temperature-dependent values for XX, XY, XZ, YY, YZ, and ZZ components.Conductivity is typically measured in Siemens per meter (S/m) or expressed in %IACS.
Specify Conductivity field When you want only Specify Conductivity field or Specify %IACS field, you can calculate the other field with Calculate Conductivity From %IACS or Calculate %IACS From Conductivity.
Specify %IACS field
Specify Permittivity field Specifies temperature-dependent values with a table or formula field.
Resistivity
Specifies temperature-dependent values for XX, XY, XZ, YY, YZ, and ZZ components.Resistivity is typically measured in Ohms and a length unit.
Specify Resistivity Specifies temperature-dependent values with a table or formula field.
Specify Permittivity field Specifies temperature-dependent values with a table or formula field.
