Target Selection dialog box (load recipes)

Target Type
Type Specifies the type of entity to target: Node, Group, Selection Recipe, Mesh, or FEM.This list automatically displays the option selected from the Type list in the Load Recipe dialog box. If you select a different target type, the corresponding change is made to the Type list in the Load Recipe dialog box after you click OK.
Selection
Select Node Appears when Type is set to Node.Lets you select a single node to which to apply the load.You can select the node in the graphics window, or you can expand the Node Label group, type the node ID in the Labels box, and click Select .If a node ID appeared in the Target box on the Load Recipe dialog box before you clicked Target , the Target Selection dialog box displays Select Node (1) , indicating that a node has already been selected. However, you can change it. The new node ID appears in the Load Recipes dialog box after you click OK.
Selection Appears when Type is set to Group or FEM.Specifies the group or FEM to which to apply the load.To search or filter the list, click More Options . For more information, see Filter options.If a group or FEM file name appeared in the Target box on the Load Recipe dialog box before you clicked Target , the Target Selection dialog box displays the name of the group or FEM file. However, you can change it. The new group or FEM file name appears in the Load Recipes dialog box after you click OK.Note: You can select a group that is not appropriate for the load. For example, if the load is force, you can select a group that contains only elements. Be sure to run a validation check to ensure that all the specified targets are valid before using the load recipe.
Select Object Appears when Type is set to Selection Recipe or Mesh.Lets you select a selection recipe in the Simulation Navigator or a mesh in the graphics window to which to apply the load.If a selection recipe or mesh name appeared in the Target box on the Load Recipe dialog box before you clicked Target , the Target Selection dialog box displays Select Object (1) , indicating that a selection recipe or mesh has already been selected. However, you can change it. The new selection recipe or mesh name appears in the Load Recipes dialog box after you click OK.Note: You can select a selection recipe that is not appropriate for the load. For example, if the load is force, you can select a selection recipe that selects only elements. Be sure to run a validation check to ensure that all the specified targets are valid before using the load recipe.
