Constraint sets

You can define and organize the constraints in constraint sets that are stored in the Solver Sets folder in the Simulation Navigator. You can also create the constraint set in the active solution or subcase.

You can create the following types of constraint sets:

  • A Single-Point Constraint Set manages the constraints that correspond to a Nastran single point constraint (SPC). These are all of the structural constraints, except for coupling and enforced displacement constraints.

  • A Multipoint Constraint Set manages the constraints that correspond to a Nastran multipoint constraint (MPC). These are the Automatic Coupling and Manual Coupling constraints.

Note:

Enforced Displacement Constraints cannot be added to a constraint set.

You can create constraints right-clicking a constraint set and choosing New, or you can drag an existing constraint to a constraint set.
