User defined constraint (Simcenter Samcef)
The User Defined Constraint lets you define constraints for up to six degrees of freedom (DOF). The DOF correspond to the nodal displacement coordinate system.
For example, if a node belongs to a solid element, it has three translational DOF. If the Cartesian coordinate system is used, these DOF correspond to X, Y, and Z directions.
Each DOF can be set to fixed, free, or a displacement value.
| DOF | Corresponding Simcenter Samcef input file entry |
|---|---|
| Free | n/a |
| Fixed | .CLM FIX NOEUD - C 1/2/3/4/5/6 |
| Displacement | .CLM DEP NOEUD - C 1/2/3 V - |
| Rotation | .CLM DEP NOEUD - C 4/5/6 V - |
