Updating the finite element model

Use the Update FEM command to update the material and element properties referenced by the design variable modeling objects in the FEM or Simulation, with the current optimized design variable values of the active Model Update or the Model Update Set solution process.

The command resets the initial values and adjusts the bounds of the design variable modeling objects in the Simulation file.

Application	Pre/Post
Prerequisite	An active Model Update or Model Update Set solution process
Simulation Navigator	Right-click the Model Update or Model Update Set node → Update FEM
Command Finder	Update FEM
Menu	Tools → Model Update → Update FEM
