Extraction
Use the Extraction command to extract results to a comma-separated value (CSV) file. The results must be loaded but do not need to be displayed in a post view. You can organize the data in the CSV file as you want, for example, you can specify to output the nodes and elements in rows and the load cases in columns. You can also paste the results into Excel.
Export result types to the CSV
You can extract the results for the entire model, specified nodes or elements, or a selection recipe. You can extract results over one or more of the following.
Load cases
Iterations
Result types
Plies
Components
Element locations
Complex parts
For example, you can extract displacement magnitude results at a node from several solutions, each of which includes several subcases.
You can select to output different result types. When you select multiple result types, the CSV file contains results for all result types (nodal, element, and element-nodal) separated by result type.
Applying nodal or elemental averaging
When extracting results, you can average elemental or element-nodal result values across nodes or elements. The Results Extraction dialog box contains a Result Combination button. It displays the Result Combination dialog box, which lets you select to average across nodes, elements, or none.
