Laminate Optimizer Configuration dialog box — Advanced Params page

Constraint Bonus / Penalty
Bonus Factor	Lets you enter the value for the bonus factor. It gives a slight advantage to individuals with larger safety margins on the constraints: If two individuals have the same objective but different constraint values, the one with the larger safety margin is assigned a higher fitness.
Maximum Bonus	Lets you enter the value for the maximum bonus which limits the value of the product of the bonus factor and the constraint value. The purpose is to prevent large safety margins from being preferred over valid constraints.
Penalty Factor	Lets you enter the value for the penalty factor which is used to lower the value of the objective of an individual that does not satisfy one or more constraints.
Population Diversity
Comparison Criteria	Lets you enter the value for the comparison (diversity) criteria which is used to establish whether or not two designs with continuous design variables are different from each other. You should increase this value if the optimized designs are not different enough from one to the other.
