Associate Nodes tab options
| Geometry | |
|---|---|
| Select Geometry | Lets you select the point, edge, curve, or face to which to associate the selected nodes. |
| Nodes | |
| Select Node | Lets you select the nodes to associate to the polygon geometry. |
| Node Labels | Lets you add nodes to the selection.Use a space or comma to separate your entries.Use a colon or a dash to add a range of node labels. For example, enter 1:10 or 1-10 to add all the node labels from 1 to 10.Use colons to add an incremented range of node labels. For example, enter:1:9:2 to add node labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.1:10:2 to add node labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10.10:1:-2 to add node labels 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.Press enter or click Select to add your entries. To edit your selection, click Edit Node Selection. |
| Association Settings | |
| Associate to Children Geometry | Controls whether the software tries to associate any of the selected nodes to the vertices on an edge or face.If you select Associate to Children Geometry, the software tries to determine whether to associate any of the selected nodes to the edges and/or vertices on the selected geometry. For example, if you select a face, the software tries to figure out which nodes should be associated with the edges and vertices on the face. Similarly, if you select an edge, the software tries to figure out which nodes to associate with the vertices at the ends of the edge. |
Display Association tab options
| Partially Associated Elements | |
|---|---|
| Select Elements | Lets you select the elements that you want to check to see whether they have any partially associated nodes. The software checks whether all an element's connected nodes lie on the same geometry, or on the children of that geometry. If they do not, then the software identifies the element as being partially associated to the geometry. |
| Element Labels | Lets you add elements to the selection.Use a space or comma to separate your entries.Use a colon or a dash to add a range of element labels. For example, enter 1:10 or 1-10 to add all the element labels from 1 to 10.Use colons to add an incremented range of element labels. For example, enter:1:9:2 to add element labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.1:10:2 to add element labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10.10:1:-2 to add element labels 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.Press enter or click Select to add your entries. To edit your selection, click Edit Element Selection. |
| Partial Element Color | Lets you select the color to use to display elements that have nodes that are partially associated to the geometry. |
| Show | Displays the elements that have nodes that are partially associated to the geometry. |
| Orphan Nodes | |
| Displays external nodes that are not associated to any geometry. | |
| Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are not associated to any geometry. |
| Color | Lets you select the color to use to display nodes that are not associated to any geometry. |
| Show | Displays the orphan nodes. |
| Associated Nodes | |
| Select Geometry | Lets you select the geometry for which you want to display the associated nodes. For example, if you select a body, the software highlights all nodes that are associated to the edges and faces of the body in the colors you select. |
| Edge Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Edge Node Color | Lets you select the type of marker to use to indicate the nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Face Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to faces. |
| Face Node Color | Lets you select the color to use to display nodes that are associated to faces. |
| Curve Node Marker | Lets you select the type of marker to use to display nodes that are associated to curves. |
| Curve Node Color | Lets you select the type of marker to use to indicate the nodes that are associated to edges. |
| Show | Displays the nodes that are associated to the geometry. |
| Geometry without Nodes | |
| Show Edges | Displays edges that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Show Faces | Displays faces that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Edge/Face Color | Lets you select the color to use to display edges or faces that do not have any associated nodes. |
| Refresh Display | Clears all temporary graphics and colors from the display. |
