Annotate the model at a specified screen location

Note:

Use the Menu→Preferences→Post Processing→Annotate command to set the numeric format of the results values.

1. Choose Results tab→Tools group→New Annotation .Tip: You can also right-click a post view and choose Create Annotation.

2. From the Attachment Type list, select User Location.

3. Click in the graphics window to specify a location on screen.Parametric Screen Location lists the parametric X and Y coordinates of the selected screen location. You can edit the displayed parameters, and the parameter values are remembered from session to session, to ensure consistent placement of annotations.

4. Enter the annotation text in the User Text box.

5. To show the units in an annotation that displays results values, select the Display Units check box.Annotations with and without units displayed

6. To attach the annotation to the selected node or element with a leader line, from the Annotation Type list, select Box with Leader. To create a free-floating annotation, select Box.Annotations with box with leader and only box

7. Use the remaining options in the Display group to control the appearance of the text and annotation box.

8. Click OK.

9. (Optional) For better viewing, drag the annotation to new position.
