Modal Participation Factors dialog box
| Type | When you are creating the MPFs, choose the type of Modal Participation Factors to be used. When you are editing the MPFs, the type of Modal Participation Factors is listed and cannot be changed. |
| Name | Sets the name of the modal participation factors. |
| Description | Sets the description for the modal participation factors.You can also Cut , Copy , and Paste text. |
| Destination Folder | |
| Load Container | Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition will be stored.The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.To view a hierarchical list of existing folders, click Folder Manager . To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Folder Manager | Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders.To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder. |
| Mode Set | |
| Select Object | Choose the Mode Set in the Simulation Navigator. |
| Modal Participation Factors | |
| Selection | Choose from the following:AllEnables all the Modal Participation Factors. EnableAllows you to select the Modal Participation Factors to enable.DisableAllows you to select the Modal Participation Factors to disable. |
| Enabled Modes | |
| Allows you to set the modes to be enabled for the MPF computation. | Cut Copy Paste Add Remove |
| Disabled Modes | |
| Allows you to set the modes to be disabled for the MPF computation. | Cut Copy Paste Add Remove |
| Data Source | |
| Select File | Click Browse to open the Select File window and select a Simcenter HDF5 Data File, Nastran OP2, or PCH file that contains modal participation factors. |
| Infers Relative Path | The software infers and stores the path to the file that you specify relative to the Simulation file. If the location of the file changes, the software uses the stored relative path information to try to locate the file. If the path is valid, Infers Relative Path appears next to the file name. If it is not, Invalid File Reference appears instead. The selected data source file must have a valid path.For more information, see Relative path support for external files. |
| Subcase | Available when the Data Source solution has multiple solution steps or subcases.Choose from:From Solution StepUses all the subcases in the Solution Step.SpecifyLists the available subcases so you can select one to be used. |
