Solution dialog box — Results Options

Option Analysis/Solution Type Description
Control
All On/Off All Selects or clears all check boxes for all results types.
Refresh Results All Loads additional results into the SIM file for post processing.You cannot output Local Temperature Error Estimate and Conductive Heat Fluxes using Refresh Results unless they are requested in the initial solve.
Refresh Reports All Generates additional text-based results files.The solver input XML file must be placed in the same directory as the Simulation file.For more information, see Report.
Output Files for Refresh Results / Refresh Reports Thermal****Coupled Thermal-Flow Generates the thermal solver files required for the Refresh Results and Refresh Reports commands. You need to select this check box in your initial run if you want to use these commands.
Thermal
Available for the following analysis types: Thermal and Coupled Thermal-Flow.Specifies thermal output requests. For more information, see Thermal output requests.
3D Flow
Available for the following analysis types: Flow and Coupled Thermal-Flow.Specifies 3D flow output requests. For more information, see 3D flow output requests.
Radiation
Available for the following analysis types: Thermal and Coupled Thermal-Flow.Specifies radiation output requests. For more information, see Radiation output requests.
Radiative Source Fluxes
Available for the following analysis types in all solver environments except Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal: Thermal and Coupled Thermal-Flow.Specifies radiative source fluxes output requests. For more information, see 1D flow output requests.
Orbital, Radiative and Free Molecular Source Fluxes
Available for the Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal solver environment.Specifies source fluxes output requests for Space Systems Thermal analyses. For more information, see Space-related source flux output requests.
1D Flow
Available for the following analysis types: Thermal and Coupled Thermal-Flow.Specifies 1D flow output requests. For more information, see Radiative source flux output requests.
Optional Output Format
Tecplot Thermal****Coupled Thermal-Flow Outputs all supported 3D flow results to Tecplot format.
CGNS Thermal****Coupled Thermal-Flow Outputs all supported 3D results to CGNS format. For a transient solution, you can request multiple CGNS files from the Transient Results list.Single FileGenerates one CGNS results file, which contains results from all transient output times.Multiple FilesGenerates multiple CGNS results files, each of which contains results from one transient output time.For a steady state solution, the software always generates one CGNS results file that contains the steady state results.For more information, see CFD export to CGNS and CGNS output files.
ParaView Thermal****Coupled Thermal-Flow Outputs all supported 3D flow results to ParaView format.
