Teamcenter Integration for Simulation
Importing and exporting CAE model data
Import Assembly into Teamcenter adds data on your local operating system to the Teamcenter database. Export Assembly outside Teamcenter places an unmanaged copy of Teamcenter data in your local operating system. You access these commands from the Gateway application.
You import CAE model data like any other assembly. For more information, see Assemblies concepts in Pre/Post.
When importing or exporting CAE model data, click Add Assembly to specify the top-level parent of the CAE model components you want to import. For example, specify the Simulation file to import the Simulation file, FEM, idealized, part and master part. Specify the parent assembly FEM to import the assembly FEM, subassembly FEMs, component FEMs, and the corresponding idealized and master parts.
