Solid-To-Edge Gluing (Simcenter Samcef)
To glue edges (Target Region) of a shell-meshed surface to a volume (Source Region), use the Solid-To-Edge Gluing simulation object.
Simcenter Samcef extracts the nodes from the source region (1) and glues them with the element edges of the target region (2).
When you solve or export your model, the options in the Solid-To-Edge Gluing dialog box define a Samcef .APS command. The gluing also generates Samcef SH3D elements.
Supported analysis solutions
The Solid-To-Edge Gluing simulation object is available for all structural Simcenter Samcef solutions.
