Selection
Select Targets	Lets you select the edges or curves to which to apply the Number on Edge density.
Number on Edge
Distribute on Connected Edges	Distributes nodes along a chain of selected edges.If you select multiple sets of connected edges, the software creates the specified number of elements along each set of edges.If you select a set of curves, the software creates the specified number of elements along the set of curves, regardless of whether the curves are connected.
Number of Elements	Enter the number of elements to create along the selected edge or curve.You can specify the number of elements as an integer value, or you can specify the number as an expression. See Expressions for more information.
Auto Size	Examines the selected geometry and calculates an estimated element size. The Overall Element Size field updates to show this element size.Note: The element size calculated by Auto Element Size is an estimate based upon certain characteristics of the currently selected geometry. You should always carefully evaluate your model and use good engineering judgment when determining the element size, regardless of whether you accept the software’s estimate or specify a different size. This evaluation should consider both the unique features of your model's geometry and the requirements of your analysis.
Minimum Element Size	Lets you specify the minimum allowed element edge length. When necessary, the software reduces the element count to avoid violating the specified minimum size limit.
Preview
Automatic	Automatically updates the mesh when you specify or change a value.
Preview	Previews the distribution of nodes along the edge using the parameters you specify.
