Add a custom simulation object to a custom analysis template
Create a folder to store the custom library, for example mylibrary.
Create the dur\dursimobj directory structure inside the mylibrary folder.
Copy the dursimobj_def.xml file from the [software_installation_path]\simulation\parameters\dur\dursimobj directory to the mylibrary\dur\dursimobj directory that you created.
Modify the dursimobj_def.xml file to include at least one user-defined simulation object definition.Each simulation object definition must have a unique neutralName and a unique type.
Choose File→Utilities→Customer Defaults.
Choose Gateway→Parameter Library, and in the Locations tab, from the Site and User Parameter Library Format list, select Directory of Parameter Library Files.
In the User Parameter Library group, under Directory Name, set Windows to the mylibrary directory.
Click OK.
Restart Simcenter 3D.
Create or open a specialist durability model.
Make sure that the Simulation file is the work part and the displayed part, and choose Specialist Durability tab→Specialist Solution group→Simulation Objects .
In the New Parameter group, from the Type list, select a user-defined simulation object type, and click Create parameter .
In the corresponding simulation object dialog box, define the desired properties. For more information, refer to Specialist Durability simulation object dialog boxes.
Click OK.
Click Close in the Durability Simulation Objects dialog box.
Choose Specialist Solution group→Analysis Templates .
Create an analysis template or right-click an existing analysis template from which to create your custom analysis template, and select Copy.
In the Required Objects or Optional Objects group, add the user-defined simulation object that you created in steps 12 to 14.
Click OK.
Click Close in the analysis templates dialog box.
