Solve the work solution for the model update solution process

Solve the work solution before creating the Model Update solution process

Constrain your model appropriately to represent the conditions of the test as closely as possible. Do this procedure after you create the work solution node. See Create the work solution for the model update solution process for more information.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the work solution node and choose Solve.Note: Creating the reduced mass matrix solution works only for the NX Nastran version 6.1 or later, or any version of Simcenter Nastran. For more information on setting the solver executable and solver version, see Solver Parameters dialog box (Nastran).

  2. In the Solve dialog box, click OK.

Solve the work solution during the Model Update solution process

Do this procedure after you update the design variable modeling objects. See Update the design variables for more information.

  • Choose Correlation tab→Model Update group→Solve Work Solution .

You are now ready to optimize the design variables again for a better optimization solution or to update your finite element model. See Update the FE model for more information.
