Identify a Printed Circuit Board

The polygon faces you select in the Printed Circuit Board simulation object must be meshed with 2D elements that reference a Shell type of mesh collector that has a PCB Stack physical property defined.

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Printed Circuit Board .The Printed Circuit Board dialog box is displayed.

  2. From the Region list, select a predefined region or click Create Region to create one. The region must contain the primary polygon faces or elements.

  3. In the Surface group, from the Wall Treatment list, specify how the flow solver models the near-wall region of a flow surface.

  4. From the Wall Friction list, specify how the software models the surface drag of the flow surface.

  5. (Optional) Select a friction method from the Wall Friction list.

  6. (Optional) To modify the global convection properties, from the Convection Properties list, select a Convection Property modeling object, or click Create Modeling Object to create a new modeling object.

  7. Click OK.
