Edit a boundary condition

When you edit a boundary condition, you can apply it to additional objects, or change any of the options that define it.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator active Simulation, right-click on the boundary condition. From the menu, choose Edit.

  2. In the Edit (Boundary Condition) dialog, enter new values for the name, magnitude, or other options. You can also choose to apply the boundary condition to additional objects in your model.

  3. Click OK when finished.

You can edit multiple boundary conditions of the same type in one action.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator in the active Simulation, press Shift or Ctrl to select multiple selected boundary conditions, and then right-click and choose Edit.

  2. In the Edit (Boundary Condition) dialog box, these icons display next to each attribute: No Change – Mixed Values—Indicates that the values currently defined for this attribute are different for two or more of the selected entities. No Change – Equal Values—Indicates that the values currently defined for this attribute are the same for all the selected entities.

  3. Enter new values for the properties.The Apply Changes icon replaces the colored box icon for the edited attributes.

  4. Click OK when finished.
