Harmonic Data Source dialog box
| Name - Description | |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the harmonic data source name. |
| Description | Sets the harmonic data description. |
| Mode Set | |
| Mode Set | Lets you select a mode set defined in the Simulation file for the harmonic data source. |
| Edit Mode Set | Available when you selected a mode set from the Mode Set list.Opens the Mode Set dialog box that lets you edit the selected mode set. |
| Create Mode Set | Opens the Mode Set dialog box that lets you create a mode set.You can select a mode set defined in the solution results of the active Simulation file, or import the modal data of a mode set from the following external files.Nastran results file (.op2) I-deas results file (.unv)Abaqus ODB files (.odb)ANSYS structural results file (.rst) |
| Modes | Indicates the boundary conditions used to compute the modes contained in the selected mode set. If the boundary conditions are computed using the:Free-Free boundary condition, the solver uses the fixed vibration inputs to constrain the model and re-computes the modes the solve.Fixed-Fixed boundary condition, the solver ignores the fixed vibration inputs during the solve. For more information, see Modal basis in vibration load events definition. |
| Sampling Rate | |
| Sampling Rate | Sets the incremental rate to define the frequencies at which the solution is performed. The sampling frequencies start from 0 and increase with the increment that you specify in the Sampling Rate box. |
| Forcing Frequencies | |
| Options | Specifies the loading option as:Single that lets you define a single harmonic load for the duration of the load.Multiple that lets you define multiple harmonic loads for the duration of the load. |
| Frequency | Defines the vibration load type that the solver uses to determine the forcing frequencies.Sine SweepIndicates that the load is applied in the form of a sine wave.Lets you specify the frequency range in the Start Frequency and End Frequency boxes, and the Duration value. You can also switch the load type between Linear and Logarithmic.Sine DwellIndicates that the load is applied in the form of a peak.Lets you specify the peak Frequency and Duration values.Note: If the start, end, or peak frequency does not coincide with the sampling frequencies, the software evaluates the vibration input functions at the sampling frequency that is in closest to the start, end, or peak frequency. The solver computes the sampling frequencies based on the sampling rate that you set in the Sampling Rate group. |
| Multiple | |
| Available when Options is set to Multiple. | |
| Load list | Lists the loads you defined for the harmonic data source. For each load, the list displays the type, frequency or frequency range, and duration. To add a load, for which you defined the frequency parameters in the Frequency subgroup, click Add Frequency .To modify a load, select it from the list and edit its frequency or duration values in the corresponding boxes. To remove a load, select it from the list and click Remove Frequency . |
| Vibration Inputs | |
| Create Vibration Input | Opens the Vibration Input dialog box that lets you create vibration inputs. The integer in the brackets (#) displays the number of vibration inputs defined in the current harmonic data source. |
