Solve Options dialog box
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the solve options durability object. The durability object name is displayed in the event dialog boxes. |
| Use Elements | Specifies whether the solver analyzes durability on all elements in the results file or on selected elements. |
| Select Elements | Available when Use Elements is set to Select.Lets you select on which elements to perform the durability analysis. |
| Element Labels | Available when Use Elements is set to Select.Lets you add elements to the selection.Use a space or comma to separate your entries.Use a colon or a dash to add a range of element labels. For example, enter 1:10 or 1-10 to add all the element labels from 1 to 10.Use colons to add an incremented range of element labels. For example, enter:1:9:2 to add element labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.1:10:2 to add element labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10.10:1:-2 to add element labels 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.Press enter or click Select to add your entries. To edit your selection, click Edit Element Selection . |
| Default Material Temperature | Sets the reference temperature for temperature-dependent material properties. |
| Override Material | Overrides the materials associated to all elements with the selected material. |
| Choose Material | Available when Override Material is checked.Lets you choose a material.Note: Make sure that the required durability properties are defined for the selected material. See Material properties for durability analysis for more information. |
| Use Non-Linear Results | Processes nonlinear stress or strain results. The durability solver displays an error if:You select this check box, but the referenced structural solution does not contain nonlinear stress or strain results. You clear this check box, but the referenced structural solution does not contain linear stress or strain results.Note: Nonlinear results can be used only when the durability event references one of the following Simcenter Nastran solutions:SOL 106 Nonlinear Statics — Global ConstraintsSOL 106 Nonlinear Statics — Subcase ConstraintsSOL 129 Nonlinear Transient ResponseSOL 601,106 Advanced Nonlinear StaticsSOL 601,129 Advanced Nonlinear TransientSOL 701 Explicit Advanced Nonlinear Analysis |
