Reduce the level of detail for large models

When working with large models, you can use Preferences to reduce the level of detail of meshes for best performance.

1. Choose File tab→Preferences→Visualization→Performance →Large Model page.

2. From the Model Size Profile list, select Custom.

3. In the Moving Frames group, move the Detail slider to the lowest position appropriate for the model.

4. In the Still Frames group, move the Detail slider to the lowest position appropriate for the model. Note: For best results, set the Still Frames Detail slider to the same position or higher than the Moving Frames position.

5. Click OK.
