Create a hotspot recipe for minimum or maximum results

You can base the hotspot recipe on the results in the current post view or on any type of results.

  1. Depending on how you want to specify the type of results, do one of the following:To base the hotspot recipe on the results in the current post view:Set up a post view. In the Post Processing Navigator, right-click the post view node and choose New Hotspot Recipe. To base the hotspot recipe on any type of results:Choose Results tab→ToolsMoreHotspot Recipe Manager.In the Hotspot Recipe Manager dialog box, click New .

  2. Type a name for the hotspot.

  3. If you are basing the hotspot recipe on any type of results, select the type of results.

  4. From the Search Method list, select Minimum Result or Maximum Result.

  5. From the Sort Maximum Result list, select a sorting range to apply to determine the entities above or below the offset value that can be included in the hotspot.To includes entities within a span of maximum or minimum values and an absolute offset (in MKS units), which is subtracted from or added to the minimum and maximum values, select By Value Offset and type the offset in the Offset Value box.To include entities with result values equal to a percentage offset, select By Percentage Offset and type the percentage offset in the Percentage Offset box. Note: If you selected a minimum result, the percentage offset includes results values equal to:(Min + Minpercentage)If you selected a maximum results, the percentage offset includes result values equal to:(Max - Maxpercentage)To include only a specified number of entities with maximum or minimum result values, select By Number of Entities and type the number of entities in the Number of Entities box.

  6. To restrict the scope of the hotspot to only selected entities, select the Create Recipe from Selected Entities check box and do one of the following:To select entities from the graphics window, click Select Object and select the entities.To specify the entity IDs, type the entity IDs in the box and click Apply ID String to select the specified entities. You can type IDs one at a time, or as a space-delimited list.

  7. Click OK.
