Sine Event dialog box (Laminate Dynamics)
| Event Name | |
|---|---|
| Event Name | Sets the name for the laminate sine event. The name appears in the Simulation Navigator under its parent dynamic simulation node. |
| Analysis Parameters tab | |
| Displacement, Velocity, Acceleration | Specifies how the software computes the displacement, velocity, and acceleration results.RelativeComputes the results with respect to the base.AbsoluteComputes the results with the base movement included. |
| Excitation Function tab | |
| Nastran Basic | Uses the absolute coordinate system for computing results. |
| Specify CSYS | Available when the Nastran Basic check box is cleared.Lets you specify the excitation coordinate system. |
| Excitation Axis | Lets you assign the X, Y, or Z-axis as the excitation axis. The axis is with respect to the specified excitation coordinate system. |
| Excitation Curve | Lets you create a spectrum function. The ordinate is set to acceleration. |
| Excitation Frequencies tab | |
| Frequency Bounds | Lets you specify the lower and upper bounds for the excitation frequency. You specify the lower frequency bound in the Lower Bound [Hz] box and the upper frequency band in the Upper Bound [Hz] box. |
| Natural Frequencies | Lets you specify the natural frequencies for the excitation frequencies. |
| Natural Frequencies Selection | Available when Natural Frequencies is selected.Specifies which natural frequencies are the excitation frequencies.AllSelects all the natural frequencies.User SelectionLets you select one or more natural frequencies from the Natural Frequencies Selection table. |
| Intermediate Frequencies | Lets you specify intermediate frequencies for the excitation frequencies. |
| Intermediate Frequencies Interpolation | Available when Intermediate Frequencies is selected.Specifies how the intermediate frequencies are generated.Linear IncrementsGenerates the plotting frequencies linearly using the number of increments you set in the Number of Increments box.Logarithmic IncrementsGenerates the plotting frequencies logarithmically using the number of increments you set in the Number of Increments box.Between FrequenciesGenerates the plotting frequencies by specifying the number of excitation frequencies between two modal frequencies and the end points (lower and upper frequency bounds). |
| Interpolation Between Frequencies | Appears when Intermediate Frequencies Interpolation is set to Between Frequencies.Specifies linear or logarithmic interpolation between frequencies. |
| Number of Excitation Frequencies | Appears when Intermediate Frequencies Interpolation is set to Between Frequencies.Sets the number of excitation frequencies within each subrange including the end points. The first subrange is between the lower bound and the first modal frequency within the bounds. The second subrange is between the first and second modal frequencies between the bounds. The last subrange is between the last modal frequency within the bounds and the upper bound. |
| Cluster | Appears when Intermediate Frequencies Interpolation is set to Between Frequencies.Sets clustering of the excitation frequency near the end points of the range. The cluster value is used to obtain better resolution near the modal frequencies where the response varies the most. A value greater than 1.0 provides closer spacing of excitation frequencies towards both ends of the frequency range, while a value of less than 1.0 provides closer spacing towards the center of the frequency range. |
| Break Points | Adds the frequency break points that are within the frequency bounds for uneven excitation functions. |
| Frequency Units | Sets the units for the additional frequencies. |
| Enter Additional Frequencies | Lets you enter the value for the additional frequencies. After you enter the value, click Add Frequencies to add them to the list. |
| Output Requests tab | |
| Laminate Sine Output Request modeling object list | Displays all existing Laminate Sine Output Request modeling objects. You can edit, clone, and delete any selected modeling object, or get information about it.You must select one listed modeling object to create the sine event. |
| Create Output Request | Creates a new laminate sine output request modeling object. |
| Edit Selected Output Request | Modifies the selected laminate sine output request modeling object. |
| Copy Selected Output Request | Copies the selected laminate sine output request modeling object. |
| Delete Selected Output Request | Deletes the selected laminate sine output request modeling object. |
| Properties | Lists information about the selected laminate sine output request modeling object. |
